i think it tests how well you can do things under pressure and what you need to do right . it tests how well your intentions are with other people. it teaches you to do what's right and to never let adversity get you down because later on you'll regret it . i actually do agree with Lincoln's statement because to me it makes perfect sense. everyone can pretty much handle adversity but if you have power it can be more difficult. if you were under a lot of stress and you didn't know up from down you might get caught up with adversity. let someone under adversity get control over power to see their true intentions.
